Picture Stories

True story: It was a celebration for two of my little cousin's birthday in May. It was a hot day and we were at a water park in Tulsa, Okalahoma. By water park, I don't mean the type of park with the water rides but more like a park surrounded by water and geyser-like water holes spraying out of nowhere like water fountains. The people present at the party were all relatives. There were a lot of games to pick from but since it was a hot day most of my relatives were sitting at the tables while the birthday girls and a couple of adults played around the water holes. This picture was taken in the mid afternoon when everyone in the group was bored because we ran out of ideas to talk about.

  1. Michelle: My day went from bad to great. My morning started out bad because my family was in a big fight but when lunch time came around I found out my friends who I hadn’t seen in a long time were coming to see me. I was so excited. When they finally reach Monett we all went to the park so we could catch up and hang out. We had dinner together and we talked, laughed, and reminisced about all the good memories we had together. My 4 friend’s names were Rachael, Carly, Anita, and Jenny. The reason they came to see was because I moved away from Rock Springs, Wyoming almost 2 years ago, but we all kept in touch. So they decided for a senior trip they would all come down to Missouri. They had 2 weeks with me and it was the happiest 2 weeks of my life. We all went to Branson, and while we were there we saw The Dixie Stampede, we went to Silver Dollar City, and of course we went to the mall. I was very sad when they left but I had a great time with them and that is a memory I will never forget.

  2. It was that time of year again: the Yearbookers were out and taking pictures of all the groups at lunch. The picture Mal had took that she was the most proud of was the one of her closest friends, all grouped at their favorite lunch table. Each of her friends held a smile on their face right before she clicked the button and the shutter made its all too familiar click. The scene was one that Mal would cherish forever because it was just so them. It was their table, their group, and even the way each of the girls were posed were so them.
The story behind the picture was one that she could never share because it wasn’t hers alone to do so, and that’s what made the picture so special.

  3. It is a normal day at the spa, whenever we all decided to come outside and hang out for a bit. This was the only table we could find so far that was completely empty. But at another table we spotted someone with a camera, and asked them to take our picture so we may enjoy this wonderful day off and have proof for our parents and friends that we actually went to the all day spa opposed to going to the mall. We all need to go back into the spa and get our lunch so we can eat and then go relax some more. So far it has been a pretty good day even though the day is starting to end. As the day reaches its end, it seems to get very depressing because then we all have to leave and go back home to a more stressful environment. Sometimes we wish we could just stay at that spa for three or four days just so we can relax. It sounds very nice to all of us. So maybe one day soon we may all go out and enjoy ourselves at the spa again.

  4. Michelle: The Xiong sisters were just enjoying a nice day in the park. They had just been reunited after years of being worlds apart. They all had great stories and conversation; after all, they did have eight years’ worth of bonding to catch up on. Come to find out even though these girls are all meeting for the first time they had so much in common and in little time it seemed like they had never been apart. After this day those girls have been inseparable they became more than just sisters, they became best friends.

  5. – the friends, the girls are sitting at a picnic table and just having conversation when out of nowhere someone with a camera decides they want a picture and so the girls must stop what they are talking about so the person with the camera can have the picture. They girls have now learned that there are a lot of common things with a gun and a camera. When someone come s holding one you must stop and wait while they get what they want and then it is still likely that you’re getting shot

  6. It is another weekend with her loving family in Oklahoma. Michelle is with her sisters and she breaks away from her quiet shell of school. They sit at a table and gossip about love, school, and things that girls love to gossip about. The enriching information from each member of the group contributes a hefty amount of good memories and laughs to enjoy. On this day, there wasn’t a single thing that could ruin such a happy relationship between the family. A bright sun shined on the house and children played around the house. The adults were inside the house gossiping about work, ways to make money, and more boring yet useful information. Loud and joyful, the girls flutter in more gossip and aren’t troubled by the flirtiest around the area. What else can I say? It’s a good enough day as any and nothing else could ruin it.

  7. Michelle Xiong: Sisters, Sisters, Sisters. They may be fun, but who really likes being surrounded by girls all they time. Theses sisters got along most of the time, but on this one special day they seemed to all make it work and that was Mother’s Day. On Mother’s Day they all wake up with smiles on their faces because nothing makes their mothers happier then smiling daughters that get along. On this Mother’s day they decided to have a surprise picnic in the park. They had it all planned, they just had to get there mom to the destination without thinking something was up, and that was the difficult part, since she never got out of the house.

  8. Every summer, the girls looked forward to the week they would once again be reunited. That was many years ago. Now they were teenagers and they were seeing each other again for the first time. They came from different backgrounds but were bound together by common bonds. They met when they were just four when all the families were vacationing in the same area. They became such good friends that every summer their parents would plan a group vacation so the girls could spend time together. When they were old enough, the parents sent them to a camp instead. This stopped when they were twelve and now, four years later, they are meeting again. At the same campground where their families came together all those years ago they decide to have a nice picnic.
“You got glasses!” Michelle said to Lucy. They spent the following hours catching each other up on everything that had happened since adolescence.

  9. This gathering of young women shown here was to get out and have some fun with their friends. These girls hardly ever got out because they were so busy studying for the next big test or trying to get a better score on the SAT. What they didn’t realize was that too much time spent away from the world means that you don’t know how to interact with anyone but your friends. These women are all from the Hmong race which is a great race from Laos in which they immigrated here to do something but they stayed here in the United States because they liked it here. This is all that can be gleamed from this photograph at this time.
